These blocks were purchased at a wonderful Estate Sale of a printer who was in busines for many many years. A lot of these blocks are vintage. All blocks have been partially cleaned. Pictures are taken so you can see the detail in the blocks.
This listing is for a Copper & Wood Printers block depicting a Deer Buck in a Circle with the logo Hartford Fire Insurance Co. Hartford Conn.

This is one of several Letterpress printers blocks that I will be listing. Printers blocks have metal/copper design attached to a wood base.
Purchased at an estate sale, former owner was a Philadephia printer in the business for over 40 years. The print blocks are vintage. Height 7/8 inch. Length and Width vary, check measurement in pic.

This lead cut is of the State Farm Insurance Company logo. It measures approximately 7/8″ square.
We are old time printers just jumping into the 21st century! Really we bought six newspapers in SW Minnesota and combined them in to three! Among the things that went along with the purchase were old presses, inks, files, broken computers and reams and reams of stinky old paper that had been stored in an old warehouse! Most of the junk we just had to recycle or throw away. What we did save were these WONDERFUL pieces of history – both wood and metal type and other printers items. We will be listing them over the next few months so please take a look.

This lead cut reads “North Star Mutual Insurance Company, A Minnesota Company”. It measures 1.5″ X 1.25″. It’s HEAVY so, again, I apologize for the price of the shipping. The Post Office is in charge.
We are old time printers just jumping into the 21st century! Really we bought six newspapers in SW Minnesota and combined them in to three! Among the things that went along with the purchase were old presses, inks, files, broken computers and reams and reams of stinky old paper that had been stored in an old warehouse! Most of the junk we just had to recycle or throw away. What we did save were these WONDERFUL pieces of history – both wood and metal type and other printers items. This cut is just says “insurance”. It measures 1/2″ X 1 and 9/16″. It’s metal on wood. We have quite a few insurance related items so please check back in the weeks to come for them.
